Mumbai 17, 2017: Data Science has become a buzzword these days as it’s an emerging field. But still we have a shortage in the number of data scientist in India. There are many institutes coming up with courses in data science to improve on the number. Many industries are revolutionizing solutions and projects in the field of data science.

In the same manner, Cisco has presented a unique innovation “Smart Cafeteria” at the Aegis Graham Bell Award Jury Round under the “Data Science” category. Cisco WPR (Workplace Resources) facilitates few Vendors to provide food in Cisco Cafeteria. The process followed in Cafeteria includes placing the menu items manually in a display counter by the vendor and making the orders in a queue by the end user. Our team is trying to overcome this manual process using the latest technology helping both, End user and vendor. Using SmartCafe prototype, the end user can make his orders sitting at his workplace, thus saving his valuable time. He can also check the crowd in cafeteria anytime he wishes to. Also, vendor can manage his database of menu items, list of orders placed in a better way when compared to the existing process.
