Mumbai 14, 2017: Mobile and mobile apps are deeply coiled with our daily lives like alarm clocks apps, cooking recipe apps, music apps, note pad apps, etc. And also there are loads of other apps for civic life as well which will help the society at large and reach the unreached.

Likewise, Save the Children an NGO has presented a unique innovation “Child Sensitive Social Protection” at the Aegis Graham Bell Award Jury Round under the “Mobile Application for Social Good” category. Save the Children’s programme on CSSP is primarily concerned with child poverty as a deprivation of the most basic needs, i.e., survival, nutrition, health and education, since these are aspects that can be fruitfully addressed through social protection interventions focused on children or their families. CSSP (Child Sensitive Social Protection) is based on the understanding that social protection is essential to address child poverty and deprivation stemming from household shock, stress, chronic poverty and insensitivity towards children.

“The Jury was very encouraging and we hope to leverage this association with AGBA to bring smiles to the most venerable children in India and across globe” – Mr Vinay Iyer, Project Director, Save the Children.
