To participate in the AGBA awards, register your company and nomination category by completing the nomination registration form, which requires basic details and payment of the nomination processing fee. Once the nomination registration is complete, you will be provided with a detailed nomination form to fill in the details of your innovation. STAGE TWO

JURY PRESENTATION

The nominee is required to give a presentation of their innovation to the jury, which is followed by a Q&A session. The jury evaluates the innovation based on the Aegis Graham Bell Awards evaluation criteria, and finalists for each category are chosen based on their ranking in the evaluation process.

Every participant receives an AGBA Innovation Star Certification, offering trusted, third-party validation beyond the awards, making innovation recognition more inclusive, credible, and measurable

Finalists Announcement

After the jury has evaluated all of the categories mentioned for particular edition, the top three AGBA finalists will be announced on the website. At the ceremonial presentation, the winners will be honoured.

  • Problem Definition/ Market Opportunity: This criterion involves assessing whether the innovative product or solution is solving a real problem or addressing a genuine market opportunity. It involves analysing the size and scope of the problem or opportunity, understanding the target audience, and determining whether the solution is aligned with the needs of the market.
    • Specific goals and objectives of the solution
    • Evidence of research and data analysis supporting the problem and solution
    • Measurable impact on the target audience or market
  • Innovativeness:  This criterion focuses on evaluating the level of novelty and uniqueness of the product/solution/solution. The level of innovation can be evaluated by considering factors such as the use of new technologies, unique features or functionalities, or novel business models.
    • Uniqueness about the presented nomination or Demonstration of significant advancement/improvement over existing alternatives in the market.
    • Type of innovation (Incremental, Disruptive, Radical)
    • Intellectual property protection like Patent
  • Market Potential/Impact: This criterion involves assessing the potential market size, growth prospects, and competitive landscape for the product or solution. It involves analyzing factors such as the size and growth rate of the target market, the level of competition, and the potential for market disruption. Scalability refers to the ability of the product or solution to grow and expand to meet increasing demand.
    • Size and growth of the target market and potential revenue
    • Market share and competitive landscape analysis
    • Potential for cost savings or increased efficiency
    • Scalability and adaptability in different contexts, geographies, or industries
  • Social Impact and Sustainability: This criterion involves evaluating the impact of the product or solution on society and the environment. It involves assessing whether the solution contributes to the well-being of the community, promotes social responsibility, and demonstrates a commitment to sustainability. The impact on social and environmental factors such as public health, safety, and the environment should be considered.
    • Contribution to the betterment of society or the environment
    • Reduction of carbon footprint or environmental impact

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Nomination Guidelines (How to Apply)

A company may nominate multiple innovations in different categories. However, the same innovation cannot be submitted in multiple categories. A separate form is required for each nomination.

Past participants are welcome to apply in subsequent editions. All entries are judged on their own merits for the current awards cycle.

Categories may be combined or realigned at the discretion of AGBA and the jury.

Any changes to a submitted nomination must be requested within 15 days by emailing nominations@bellaward.com.

2. Jury & Evaluation (How You’ll Be Judged)

All innovations are reviewed and validated by an independent jury. The evaluation consists of a live presentation on a virtual platform (e.g., Zoom), where you will present your innovation (product, solution, or service) to the jury panel for 10 minutes, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

All jury presentations will be broadcast live on AGBA’s official YouTube and LinkedIn channels. Participants who do not wish for their session to be live-streamed must inform the AGBA team via email prior to their scheduled presentation.

Nominations must be submitted in English. Videos in other languages are accepted if they include English subtitles. Translators are permitted during the virtual jury presentation.

If the jury identifies false or misleading information, the nomination will be disqualified.

Jury feedback may be shared with participants upon request to help strengthen their innovation journey.

3. Recognition & Certification (What You Receive)

All nominations that pass the initial administrative screening will proceed to the jury evaluation. Following this evaluation, every participant will receive the AGBA Innovation Star Certification, ensuring all credible innovations are formally recognized.

The selection of winners and finalists for the Aegis Graham Bell Awards is based entirely on the independent judgment of the jury during scheduled rounds.

Submission of a nomination does not guarantee winning an award.

4. Promotion & Media (Use of Information)

By submitting a nomination, participants agree that public-facing information (including details of the innovation, innovator, or presenter) may be used by AGBA for promotion across digital, print, and live media.

If any company wishes to refrain from having their innovation featured in social media or other media posts, they may communicate this request to the AGBA team via email.

All participants are required to follow an ethical code of conduct throughout the process.

5. Fees & Payments (The Cost to Participate)

Once a nomination is submitted, participants must pay the applicable nomination processing fee based on the Company Turnover, plus 18% GST.

Payments can be made online (credit card) or via bank transfer, as specified in the Proforma Invoice.

Fees are non-refundable and are purely for administrative and processing purposes. They are similar to university exam fees and do not influence the jury’s decision, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
