Mr. Chandan is one of the pioneers of telecom revolution in India. He has been a key-player in bringing CDMA technology in India and making it commercially lunched. Dr. Abul Kalam and Mr. Chandan were instrumental in the privatization of Internet in India. Recognising his contribution to the field of Electrical Engineering, the award of “Outstanding engineer” for the year 2004 was conferred on Mr. Chandan by Delhi International Branch of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (U.K.). Mathews brings along a rich knowledge of finance and administration along with his extensive experience in the Indian telecom industry. He has been associated with various telecom firms in India as well as abroad.

Most recently Mathews was the COO of US operations and Corporate CFO and V.P. of Telargo, where he oversaw the company’s US operations and financial, accounting, treasury, tax, administrative and HR functions. He has also served as President of Telephone Systems International and V.P. and CFO of Call Sciences Inc and held various senior executive positions with AT&T wireless. Earlier, he also had a stint with the research firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a senior consultant

Hemant is a Partner in Deloitte Haskins and Sells (DHS), India. He is the TMT India Leader. His clients are spread across industries like – telecom, technology, engineering and automobiles. He has more than 25 years of experience in Assurance and Accounting Services and includes international experience in the Middle East and the USA. Hemant has extensive public company audit experience and has, over the years, served as audit partner on some of India’s – and the worlds – largest and most reputed companies. He has successfully led the IPO of one of the India’s largest mobile service provider. He currently serves reputed listed / multinational telecommunication, information technology and manufacturing companies.

Hemant has published several articles, thought papers on telecom in leading magazines and newsletters. Under his leadership, Deloitte has been strategic knowledge partner for several institutes in telecom domain. Sougata Mukherjea leads the Telecom & Mobile Research department in IBM India Research Lab. His research interests include Middleware technologies and its applications to Telecom, Analytics and Visualization. He has several patents as well as multiple publications in reputed Computer Science conferences and journals in these research areas. His group has developed many innovative technologies in the Telecom and Mobile domain some of which have been integrated into IBM products or licensed to customers. Sougata received his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA in Computer Science. Prior to joining IBM Sougata worked in Research & Development for several companies in the Silicon Valley (California) including NEC Research, Inktomi and BEA Systems.
