Digital transformation is continuously shaping the world around us, and in particular, it has brought about a drastic change in the lives of billions of people in India. It has impacted various aspects of our daily lives, including the way we make payments to vegetable vendors in the market, purchase goods and services from online vendors, and automate tasks for risk assessment and complex processes in large oil and gas companies. Digital transformation has left its mark on every industry, revolutionizing the way businesses operate and interact with customers.  That’s why we’re excited to invite innovations in digital transformation for the 14th edition of the Aegis Graham Bell Awards.

Innovation in digital transformation involves leveraging a variety of digital technologies to transform all areas of an organization, fundamentally changing how it operates and delivers value to its customers. This can include the digitization of manual processes, using data analytics to make informed decisions, and adopting cloud-based software solutions to streamline business operations. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT) can also be leveraged to drive business value and improve the customer experience.

As a nominee, you may have developed new software applications, implemented new digital platforms, or utilized data analytics to improve business operations. Remember, digital transformation is industry agnostic, meaning it can be applied across various industries and sectors. Your digital transformation story has the power to inspire, influence, and shape the future of the industry. Apply for nomination under comprehensive Digital Transformation subcategories:

13th Edition AGBA Digital Transformation Winner – Bharat Petroleum

Mindful of the ever-growing needs and aspirations of India’s huge and burgeoning customer base, BPCL has embarked upon a journey of strategic digital transformation under Project Anubhav, with focus on building customers trust, providing convenience with a personal touch and entrench its position as the first choice for customers. With dedicated focus, BPCL has crafted a robust roadmap for this transformation with key initiatives targeted to be delivered within stringent timelines, leveraging the best-in-class digital technologies to quickly catapult to this new space.

Problem
BPCL was not getting a single view of the customer both at the B2B and B2C level despite having a large diverse overlapping set of customers and BPCL solutions were with limited mobile and AI experience & modern consumers are expecting companies to provide best-in-class solutions which are touchless, simple, intuitive, and easy to use.

Solutions
To address the above BPCL has initiated an innovative digital transformation project called “Project Anubhav”. Initiatives under Project Anubhav include a Customer Engagement Platform, Digital Nerve Center, Digital Marketing Platform and Integrated Supply Chain Management solutions. To build and deliver the initiatives of Project Anubhav, during the year BPCL has carried out an exhaustive transformation exercise and is also working with best in class solutions / partners.

Outcome
BPCL has developed 6 innovative digital solutions in a short span of 1.5 years. These include an Unified & integrated App / Website for customers (HelloBPCL), a AI Chatbot for customers (Urja), a Touchless fuelling solution for Fuel customers (UFill), a Digital Nerve Centre (IRIS), a Salesforce management solution (SalesBuddy) & a Corporate Digital Centre (CDC).
